25. The Laws for Theft and Adultery (Exodus 22: 1 - 8)

Unlike the worldly laws which are getting more and more complicated everyday, the laws for the Theft and Adultery Commandments are simple and straightforward. So, are those laws still sufficient for such sensitive subjects nowadays? Or, should we expand the laws to accommodate the worldly laws for the same subjects? After all, the purpose of the Law is to punish the perpetrator. So, it shouldn't leave a stone unturned. Is that the case? If not, then what kind of attitude should we have toward the Law?
